David Brown 885 for sale or trade as to big for me
£4.500
Description
Up for sale or trade is our DB 885, we got this in a trade and to be honest it's to big for our needs and the storage room we have so looking for something smaller.
Out of the three tractors I've owned this is by far the nicest, it doesn't leak, smoke, use anything, it drives nice, has synchromesh for changing gear while driving and is quite quick.
I have had new front tyres fitted, backs are fine. I've fitted a new water pump and hoses, rebuilt the original Butler Head and plough lights sourcing new reflectors and now working perfectly. Hydraulic's and P.T.O work as they should and it starts trouble free off the key.
We originally bought a tractor for log splitting but this is only for our own home and once a year, I've just finished this winters so tractor will be sheeted up and not seen again till next year as it doesn't fit in our garage.
The tractor was hand painted a horrible gloss white but fortunately the original DB paint is still good underneath so I've began removing the gloss with wet and dry paper, I've done the bonnet and am quite chuffed with the results, I intended to either lacquer or just polish the paint and leave as original.
Ideally I'd like a trade plus cash for something smaller like a grey fergie that will go in a garage, quite happy to listen to other trades of most things but if a motor it needs to be tax exempt.
I have the V5 in my name and tractor is ready to use on the road
Thanks for reading.
