dates-n-mates is Scotland’s first dating and friendship agency ran by and for adults with learning disabilities. Established in 2008, the project has hosted hundreds of events, helping people to tackle social isolation by making friends, having meaningful relationships and to building stronger connections with their communities.
The main purpose of this role is to oversee, co-ordinate and lead the project team to facilitate opportunities for people with a learning disability to develop and maintain new friendships and relationships. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent delivery of outcomes, budget management, reporting and forging essential links and partnerships between dates-n-mates, local businesses and other organisations from all key sectors. The post holder will also be responsible for overseeing the volunteering function throughout dates-n-mates and C-Change Scotland and will be actively involved in the strategic planning of the project. You will liaise with the project leads from C-Change Scotland’s other regional dates-n-mates projects to effectively share best practice, resources and learning and to contribute towards the development of dates-n-mates Scotland and develop and continually improve the systems and practices of dates-n-mates.
Salary: £26,000 Circa / Annum. Dependent on qualifications & experience.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Glasgow (& Surrounding Areas)
Term: Fixed-term until December 2018 with view to longer term dependent on securing further funding.
*35 days annual leave (pro-rata - inclusive of public holidays).
