HEAD OF PHOTOGRAPHY
We have an exciting opportunity in a Head of Photography joining our Photography Team at The House of Bruar. A chance in leading the dynamic and creative environment of our in-house photography studio and creative department.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Taking photographs to a professional standard for use in catalogues and the ecommerce site in line with the in house style and brand guidelines.
Liaising with the Mail Order Team to determine and manage priorities and organise the work load of the photographic team.
Organising the pick lists and transfer of photographic product samples between warehouses.
Carry out other photographic requirements for The House of Bruar, such as PR, advertising or promotional shots, as are required.
Picture editing: colour correcting photographs to match garments, ‘cutting out’ images to use online.
Ensuring all products are lit correctly, efficiently and creatively, in accordance with our company guidelines.
Produce high quality and consistently beautiful images, ensuring they are correctly exposed and colour consistent.
Responsible for care and upkeep of the studio, equipment, props and supplies.
Crop and process all images, maintaining file size specification.
Perform quality assurance on all images.
Meet strict daily and weekly deadlines.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in taking catalogue / web photography essential – preferably in a fashion based business, but not essential.
Previous experience working within a digital photographic studio with commercial photographic experience.
Practical experience in editing pictures in Photoshop is also a requirement.
A meticulous eye for detail.
Strong photography and lighting skills.
Strong understanding of colour correction.
Good communication skills.
Self-motivated, positive and hard working.
Ability to work within a team, excelling under pressure with a flexible attitude.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and motivate others to achieve within the required timeframe.

Educated to A Level or degree discipline, ideally in photography.
