Situated in the old cinema foyer of Redpoint Climbing Centre in Bedminster, Bristol Rocks is a busy cafe/bar serving a full menu of quality local produce and great coffee. We also have a well-stocked bar to refresh thirsty climbers, and are open to the local community.
We are looking for a cook/bar person to join our small team. You will have previous catering experience, ideally gained in a busy kitchen serving a full menu, and will be happy to work alone in our open kitchen, managing multiple orders and maintaining excellent standards of presentation and food hygiene. The role will also include shifts behind the bar, making coffee, taking orders and pulling pints, so experience in these areas would be advantageous, although we are happy to provide some on-the-job training. The role is 30-40 hours per week and attracts an initial salary of £7.20 per hour plus holiday pay, rising to £7.70 per hour following satisfactory probation. Good progression is available for the right candidate. As a bonus, you and your partner will get free use of our fantastic climbing centre!
You will ideally hold at least a level 2 food hygiene certificate, and you will be available for evening and weekend work.
